ASCO 2025 Recap
From May 29 to June 2, 2025, Man Up to Cancer had a strong presence at #ASCO2025 annual meeting in Chicago. ASCO, which stands for the American Society of Clinical Oncology, is a prominent professional organization dedicated to cancer care. The conference is the world's largest oncology gathering, bringing together thousands of experts to discuss the latest advancements in cancer care, share groundbreaking research, and collaborate on better treatments and patient outcomes.
Interim Director Joe Bullock and Director of Chapters and Meetups Don Helgeson engaged with key industry partners, and fellow patient advocates. While many of these connections were long-standing, the event also opened the door to valuable new relationships.
Then, alongside the amazing team at Bayer here in Chicago, we rolled up our sleeves and helped assemble and donate 50 chemo care backpacks. These will stay local, at Waterford Place Cancer Resource Center, where they’ll soon be in the hands of men who truly need a reminder that they’re not alone.
Huge thanks to Omar Ramos and Scott Young with the Illinois chapter group for receiving the backpacks and ensuring they’re delivered with heart in the coming weeks.
Man Up to Cancer remains at the forefront of redefining how men face cancer.
